Can Fariy Tales Be Real?

Can Fairy Tales Be True?

Summary
Once upon a time, pretty much sums up why we wonder doesn't it. Fairy tales are what started our imagination witch make up wonder. So,can fairy tales be true? That is an interesting question but can they? Well, we think fairy tales are based off of true people, places, and things like the Grimm Brothers stories.
Snow White could of been based off of a real person some scholars think. One example of why they think so is because of a woman Marete von Waldeck who was beautiful and lived in Germany during the 16th century when children worked in the mines. Also, a reason why would be because of a woman named Maria Sophia Margaretha Catherina who was the daughter of a prince after her mother died her step mother who was believed to favor over her own children. And also because, of Lohr am Main located near Spessart Forest know for its glass work company the Lohr glass work making company were know for their mirrors of incredible quality people called them talking mirrors.
Any of this sounding familiar? The only thing missing are the dwarves. But around Lohr were mountains known for mining witch only the smallest of people could fit into witch might of been the inspiration for the dwarves.

Learned

I learned that some fairy tales could have been true but turned a bit. We can prove some are true by researching and studying what we can find and connect them to different parts of the fairy tales like Snow White and the women in Germany and of the land around it like the mirror shop and the small people working in the mines witch could of resembled the dwarves in Snow White. Also by doing the research on the time periods witch would help with the ideas of time in the story and if princes, princesses, queens, and kings were real.

Lucky

Lucky

How my seventh grade year had been so far has been lucky not like good luck and bad luck lucky but, lucky as in being lucky I go to a fantastic school.
How have I been lucky?  Well, you can't really make luck but I would consider myself lucky because:
  • I have great friends who make me laugh, smile and push me to do my best like family.(thanks to Jessica, Ariel, Haley, and Christine. Love you!)
  • Another way is that I'm actually passing my horizons classes witch was a surprise to me when I got my first progress report and it was all A's!
  •  I also have been recognize by my singing skills by some of the teachers at the high school when I went to region for choir. I scored really high for my age higher than some eighth graders and I was one off from getting in. ( the judges are really picky but I still scored well!)
  • I also have been able to find a lot of the books I like to read in the library witch I used to have a really problem with so, that makes things easier in reading for me to finding good books I'll love!
  • Also, that one of my teachers this year has taught me before so, that makes things better in some ways for me. I don't know why but it does so yeah. ( the teacher is Mr. Mein.)
  • I also can be who I am and people love me for it at least I hope they do but, I'm not going to change so, they should get used to it!
  • Being able to just be able to talk with people with out being shy or quite. I can talk to anybody basically and I'm out there and wild! (ask Ariel...)
  • And, being able to free write this year last year we didn't do that witch really bummed me out since I love to write.
So, that is why I have considered my seventh grade year so far lucky. What would you consider your seventh grade year has been like so far?

From Bad to Worst to Okay

From Bad to Worst to Okay

I woke up thinking it was going to be a great day right, but I was so very wrong.  Not only had I missed my bus but I had a big test that day and I lost my jacket and it was freezing outside.
Like any other day I woke up and got dressed but what wasn't like any other day it was that I was really late and missed my bus witch made it really hard for me because my mom had enough on her plate as it was and we didn't need her to be driving us to school when she was already majorly stressed out.
It was the worst day to be late the TACKS as we used to take I was already stressed out maybe more than mom but she would disagree anyway I had been up all night studying for the test and I guess I fell asleep while studying because I woke up to my papers being scatered acreoss my bedroom floor.
Also, another bad thing was it was absolutly freezing outside and my jacket was in the wash I think but I couldn't find it. I knew the classroom would be cold to keep us awake during the test so we wouldn't you know fail or someting like that so, that was just great!
I ran up to the office and they quickly ran me off a tardy slip and I charged up the steep stairs and tripped twice witch didn't help my situation but I make on time enough to get the instrustions and to do the test. During the test my mom had sent my jacket to school and it was sent up to me. After, I finished my test I layed down my head for a bit and took a nap then read my book after wards.
Once, I got off of school and rode the bus home my grandparents congradulated me on the TACKS I don't know why but i just went with it they gave me ice-cream and cake. I guess the day turned out okay in the end so that made me a little happy and I guess I should be glad of that and I am.   I'm just glad I know I will never be late again for a big test unless you know I have like surgury or something.
